本次活动是首届可持续创新学生竞赛 （英文简称SISC）， 在2009年世界环境日正式启动。本次竞赛旨在培养环保和商业意识，鼓励中国高校学生提出创新且可行的商业方案来解决全球气候变化问题。
This is the first annual Sustainable Innovation Student Competition (SISC), launched on World Environment Day 2009. The competition has been designed to foster environmental entrepreneurship and encourage Chinese students to develop imaginative and viable business plan proposals that provide ways of solving the problem of climate change.
本次竞赛由51Sim发起，与Camco,51Give以及英国大使馆文化教育处联合举办。活动面向所有高校学生，同时希望借此活动培养跨学科间的团队合作精神、创造性思维并且在学生中提高环境问题的紧迫意识和激发解决之道的愿望。
The competition has been initiated by 51Sim, in partnership with Camco, 51Give and the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy. It is open to all university students and aims to simultaneously cultivate multi-disciplinary team work and creative thinking, while raising awareness of the problems of climate change and the urgent need to find real business solutions.
本次竞赛围绕三个不同主题，每个主题都是当今缓解气候变暖问题的关键所在。主题分别是：
The competition is focused on three distinct categories, each critical to climate change mitigation:
·绿色交通 Green Transport
·节能减排 Energy Efficiency
·可再生能源 Renewable Energy
51Sim主办的可持续创新学生竞赛将成为每年举办一次的竞赛活动。
The Sustainable Innovation Student Competition is to become an annual competition run by 51Sim. |

China - UK Joint Declaration on Climate Change |
2009年5月，可持续创新学生竞赛正式成为中华人民共和国和大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国关于气候变暖联合声明下的官方项目。
In May 2009, the Sustainable Innovation Student Competition became an Official Programme under the Joint Declaration on Climate Change signed between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
声明指出两国政府“同意一道致力于加强解决气候变化问题的合作”。
Under the Join Declaration, both Governments “agreed to work in partnership to further strengthen their cooperation on climate change”. |

The competition aims to identify a new generation of green entrepreneurial business leaders and create innovative new businesses that have long-term growth potential.
本次大赛的竞争性在于确保每个团队都重视团队协作和发扬专业精神。
The objectives of the competitive format are to ensure each team recognizes the importance of collaborative work and the importance of delivering genuine professionalism.
本次竞赛还将借助英国大使馆文化教育处举办的“气候酷派——气候变化青少年大使”项目，为优秀团队提供一个特殊平台，使他们在一个关注并致力于解决各种气候变化问题的环境下受益并成长。
Utilizing the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy’s Young Climate Change Awareness Ambassador programme under the Climate Cool campaign, the competition also provides a unique platform for outstanding teams to benefit from growth and development opportunities within a structured and performance driven environment that focuses on the diverse challenges of solving climate change. |
